Born and raised in Shanghai, China. Went to college in Hefei, then crossed an ocean for graduate school and somehow never left: I live now in Urbana-Champaign, a small college town in the middle of the Midwest. In my spare time, I enjoy painting and drawing, sewing and crafting, and I am always keen on picking up new languages to learn. More recently I have fallen for hiking, though as a city girl at heart, I keep it easy and scenic.
